I’m helping 10 families in my village after winning 4.66 Million RWF on betPawa

I’m Ibrahim from Nyagatare District. I bet 280 RWF on 46 legs and won 875,744.52 RWF. My winnings were heavily increased by a 525% betPawa Win Bonus, and my final payout after tax was 4,657,172.76 RWF. This is my story…

Nyagatare, my home district, was the first place my family moved to when we returned back to Rwanda from Uganda after being refugees for so long, so it holds a huge place in my heart and just feels like home.

I was born and raised in a family which used to help vulnerable families and this taught me a lot about being helpful and supportive to people in need. This is a lesson I carried from childhood till today.

My late father was my role model. He was a very loving person and had amazing relationships with everyone around us, which I find very admirable and an important trait to have in this day and age.

This is the first time I have won above 75,000 RWF, so definitely this win is the first that has and will continue to impact me and my family’s life moving forward.

When I realised I had won BIG, I got too excited and literally couldn’t stop smiling. I cannot explain the feeling because just imagine betting 280 RWF and winning over 4 Million RWF. It is a miracle. I feel very happy.

I live in a district where people depend on farming to make a living by eating and selling farming harvest for extra incomes. This planting season has been the worst for most farmers as the rains have not been cooperating, so families are struggling to survive daily.

I took the initiative and decided to help 10 families in my village by buying them food items like rice and also got health insurance for the year for 3 other families.

I will use the rest of the winnings to continue building my house, which is a project I have been wanting to finish for a long time. I already kickstarted the process and with this money I can now afford a house with a strong foundation, better bricks, cement and other details I would have never put in my house if it was up to me as they would be very expensive.

I will now have a house and when I get married, I will live in my house with my wife and won’t have to rent and spend money.

I am going to invest some money into taking some special courses in construction training in Tanzania. I have been wanting to do these machine training courses for a long time but I couldn’t go because they were expensive. Now I can afford it.

These courses will allow me to get more job opportunities here as I will be highly skilled and also one of the few people who can operate those machines.

A year from now, I see myself owning a beautiful home and having finished my construction training with a great job. Don’t lose hope: hopefully your time is also coming.
